Entry Level Technician

Specialty: PC, Laptop, and Peripheral Hardware
Reports To: Director of Technology
Qualifications:
- Experience with current Windows and Apple operating systems
- Experience with configurations, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops/towers, and Chromebooks; MAC computers, various Apple laptops and iPads; and printers
- Experience with data projectors, digital document camera, and sound enhancement system desired
- Willingness to learn support new technologies
- Experience with network and local machine software installations
- Experience in imaging procedures
- Dell or equivalent certified
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in all areas deemed necessary by the Director of Technology.
- Maintain inventory of necessary parts and determine need for replacement parts.
- Perform hardware maintenance and upgrades to include ordering parts and components.
- Configure and set up network printers.
- Set up and/or move technologies as necessary by rotation schedule and as directed by Director of Technology.
- Respond to all service requests in a timely fashion documenting actions taken.
- Communicate with local technology coordinators at each site regarding service request progress in one of the following ways: conference, e-mail, voice mail, or written note.
- Ensure service requests are successfully completed.
- Serve as liaison with vendors as appropriate.
Terms of Employment: Twelve months (240 days) annually. Day as defined by the district.
*May exercise the 30-minute working lunch option. A working lunch is defined as being on-call and must be taken in an area where his/her work is performed.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policies on evaluation of non-certified personnel.
