Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM’s** Transportation Business Line is seeking an **Entry-Level Roadway Design Engineer** to be based in **Tallahassee** , **FL** . The successful candidate will support the highway design teams in South Florida by working with different disciplines to complete a variety of projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects for FDOT and other clients. + Assist with work tasks required in preparation of roadway design set of plans. + Utilizing CADD to create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Carry out engineering analyses and prepare reports and technical specifications under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. + Collect and analyze data, perform field work, and undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Attend site visits and meetings in clients’ offices. + Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, and communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed. + Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level member. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. **Preferred Qualifications:** + EI certification is preferred + Transportation related experience preferred. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. + Proficient in Microstation, ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other engineering software packages. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Detail-oriented while still being able to understand and comply with the big picture and goals of a project. + Documents time and effort accurately. + Interest in transportation infrastructure design. **Additional Information** **Additional information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Tallahassee, FL. The selected candidate must be available to work in Tallahassee, FL on a scheduled basis. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
