Kauai Air Conditioning & Plumbing is looking for motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade from the ground up. As an Entry Level Plumbing Installer, you’ll be trained on the job by experienced plumbers who will teach you basic plumbing in the field. Job Functions:
Carry, stage, and load tools, parts, and materials at job sites. Cut and prep PVC, ABS, copper, and PEX pipe for installers.
Help dig trenches, locate underground utilities, and prepare rough-in locations.
Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specific tasks. Familiarize yourself with proper tools and various plumbing materials used at job sites.
Arrive at the jobsite on time, in uniform, and with the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized job site and work vehicle — leave the area cleaner than upon arrival.
Maintain accurate Service Titan documentation — clock in/out, project notes, before/after photos, and equipment data uploads.
Communicate professionally with homeowners and general contractors on site.
Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance; identify and report potential hazards.
Work as a team — practice honesty and transparency, take responsibility for your actions, be flexible, and contribute to identifying issues and developing solutions.
Any additional duties or responsibilities deemed necessary.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personality types.
Attention to detail and the ability to complete work to a deadline.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Motivated to learn plumbing installation fundamentals — pipe cutting and prep, basic soldering and ProPress, fitting identification, hangers and supports, and rough-in support.
Ability to follow direction and accept coaching from senior team members.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors, on roofs, and in attics or crawlspaces.
Pay: $25-30/hour based on experience.
