Position Description
The Preventative Maintenance Technician at Applied Medical plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment used to produce life-saving medical devices. This position supports the safety and effectiveness of products delivered to healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment according to factory requirements and established schedules.
- Execute maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts to maintain equipment performance per factory recommendations.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately, including dates, tasks performed, parts used, and observations.
- Support inventory management by monitoring and replenishing spare parts and supplies used to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

- Maintain equipment reliability through timely and thorough preventative maintenance.
- Reduce downtime by identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact production.
- Ensure accurate documentation that supports traceability and compliance with quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repairs and share recommendations.
- Contribute to Applied Medical’s mission by supporting efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes.
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Showcase basic mechanical aptitude, demonstrated through performance or certifications.
- Use standard hand tools safely and effectively.
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Display attention to detail when inspecting and maintaining equipment.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to changing work conditions and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing or similar environment.
