About the Role
American Energy Resources is hiring entry-level Gas Utility Technicians. This is a training-focused role where you will learn how to install and replace gas meters while working in the field with an experienced team.
No prior utility experience is required. We provide training for individuals who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to install and replace gas meters.
- Assist experienced technicians with field work.
- Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site organization.
What We’re Looking For
- A valid driver’s license is required for job-related travel.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation, including physical outdoor work throughout the duration of the shift.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required.
Training & Pay
- Paid training starts at $20.00 per hour.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours.
- Advancement opportunities based on training completion and performance.
