Job Summary

The Agronomic Information Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining technical agronomic content to support customer education and business objectives. This part-time role focuses on developing accurate, high-quality agriculture-related materials, including articles, guides, training manuals, and digital resources.

 

Job Description

  • Author technical agronomic content from research and drafting through final review
  • Develop and maintain articles, guides, training manuals, and online technical resources
  • Review and edit agronomic documents for accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
  • Collaborate with technical writers, researchers, and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy
  • Revise technical documents and implement updates as needed
  • Ensure all written materials align with company standards, brand voice, and quality expectations
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within a part-time schedule
  • Develop and follow content goals, workflows, and project deliverables
  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across all assignments
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams through written and verbal communication
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent quality

 

Skills Required

  • Strong technical writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge of southern and southeastern U.S. cropping systems
  • Expertise or experience in cotton production systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Illustrator, is preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Communications, or a related field
  • Experience in technical writing, editing, or agronomic content development preferred

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screening and background check
  • Part-time schedule of approximately 30 hours per week
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities and multiple deliverables simultaneously

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $24.00 to $32.00 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
