The Entrepreneurship Program Assistant will provide general clerical and organizational support to the Director of Entrepreneurship. This role offers the opportunity to learn and build new skills while contributing to projects that serve first-time entrepreneurs. Tasks include organizing files, assisting with databases, helping with communication follow-up, and supporting day-to-day operations. Training and support will be provided to help the assistant learn how to use the digital tools needed for the job. The ideal candidate is responsible, organized, willing to learn, and interested in supporting community work. THIS POSITION REQUIRES FLUENCY IN WRITTEN AND SPOKEN SPANISH.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clerical and Office Support
·        Assist with filing, organizing, and labeling digital and paper documents.
·        Help schedule meetings and prepare simple documents like checklists or forms.
·        Support logistics for events and workshops (setting up, preparing materials, etc.).
·        Keep office supplies and shared tools organized.
·        Support in program events
Digital Records and Data
·        Help update client records and contact lists in basic online forms and spreadsheets.
·        Organize and keep track of data using tools like Microsoft Excel and Airtable.
·        Assist in collecting and organizing data for reports.
Organizing Workflows and Templates
·        Help create and organize templates, guides, and simple manuals.
·        Use step-by-step software (like Tango or screenshots) to help document processes.
·        Support in keeping folders, checklists, and resources easy to find and use.
Client Support and Follow-Up
·        Help reconnect with clients through follow-up calls, texts, or emails.
·        Share helpful resources and reminders with clients.
·        Keep track of communications in a log or spreadsheet.
 
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
·  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to identify and engage with entrepreneurs effectively.
·  Proficiency in Spanish and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and a track record of holding oneself accountable.
·  Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
·  Computer skills including Airtable, MS Office, Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Workplace, word processing, and any other required programs.
·  Familiar with seeking and navigating access to community resources
·  Car and valid driver's license
 
Learning and Development Focus:
This position is designed to help the assistant gain experience in:
·        Office organization and clerical work
·        Using common digital tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
·        Managing digital records and working with databases
·        Supporting outreach and customer service
·        Creating and maintaining simple documentation
 
Preferred Skills or Interests:
·        Basic computer knowledge (email, internet navigation)
·        Willingness to learn new programs with support
·        Strong attention to detail and reliability
·        Interest in community work and supporting small businesses
·        Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
