Location: Evanston, IL (Hybrid onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (possibility for extension)

Job Description:

Role Summary

Client is seeking a hands-on Microsoft Entra ID Engineer to support enterprise identity operations, Active Directory modernization, and Microsoft 365 integration.

This is an engineering role, not an IAM governance or program-management position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory
2. Configure Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO
3. Support Hybrid Identity and Entra Connect
4. Assist with Active Directory migration
5. Troubleshoot authentication and synchronization issues
6. Support Microsoft 365 and Teams identity integration
7. Work with Security Operations and infrastructure teams
8. Use PowerShell for administration and automation

1. Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
2. Conditional Access and MFA
3. Active Directory and Hybrid Identity
4. Entra Connect / Azure AD Connect
5. Microsoft 365
6. Identity troubleshooting
7. Active Directory migration
8. PowerShell

Ideal Background

Entra ID Engineer, Identity Engineer, Active Directory Engineer, Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, or Senior Systems Engineer.

Candidates will not be considered if..

1. Cannot work onsite in Evanston every Tuesday and Thursday
2. Cannot attend an onsite final interview
3. Have not personally configured Entra ID or Conditional Access
4. Are primarily IAM governance, architecture, PM, SailPoint, Okta, or CyberArk specialists
5. Cannot explain Hybrid Identity or authentication troubleshooting
