    Description

    Summary

Enterprise QA is a function under construction, with a mandate to establish shared standards, tooling, and delivery practices across engineering, infrastructure, and data teams. This role owns the day-to-day work of leading that build-out. This includes communication, cross-team alignment, prioritization, and program management across a set of concurrent initiatives - currently five, spanning four delivery teams - each with its own timeline and set of dependencies.

The person in this seat becomes the primary point of contact for delivery teams, program leads, and technology leadership on Enterprise QA matters. Direction and strategic priority come from the Head of Enterprise QA; this role translates that direction into sequencing, stakeholder commitments, and a communication cadence that keeps delivery teams engaged without requiring escalation.

Location: On-site 4 days a week in San Francisco

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as primary liaison between Enterprise QA and other technology teams - Operations Tech, Investment Tech, Data Tech, Cloud Infrastructure, and EUC - maintaining working relationships with delivery managers and program leads.
    • Hold decision authority over sequencing and prioritization across active initiatives (DataGaps onboarding, QA automation, synthetic data service, lower environment build-out, agentic SDLC), weighing delivery team capacity against the Enterprise QA roadmap and escalating to the Head of Enterprise QA where a delivery team's committed timeline is at risk.
    • Build project plans for new initiatives from the ground up, with proactive identification of risks and dependencies through structured stakeholder discovery.
    • Provide day-to-day direction and development support to QA practitioners embedded in the function, including the other leads and automation builders, with continued positioning of each as a strategic contributor rather than a project executor.
    • Lead cross-team alignment on scope, timelines, and dependencies, with resolution of conflicts before they require escalation to the Head of Enterprise QA.
    • Lead status reporting and communication cadences - weekly updates, stakeholder briefings, executive summaries - calibrated for concision with senior audiences.
    • Own translation of the Alternative Approach (internal QA standards plus a focused EUC managed service) into delivery-team-facing plans and commitments.
    • Own the QA Guild cadence, with accountability for its function as a practitioner community rather than a status meeting.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 10 years in program or project management, with direct experience in QA transformation, technology delivery, or enterprise software programs.
    • 10 years of experience building project plans and program structures from a blank state, including the stakeholder questioning and risk discovery needed to surface issues before they become delays.
    • 10 years of experience leading programs staffed through a federated or guild-based resourcing model, rather than a centralized PMO with direct reporting lines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A track record of stakeholder alignment across engineering, infrastructure, and operations functions within a matrixed organization.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated concision when addressing senior technology executives.
    • Financial services or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
    • Hands-on familiarity with generative AI tools and workflows desirable, with genuine interest in extending that experience into QA and SDLC applications, a growing focus area for this function.
