Enterprise Architect II (Business Architecture Focus) Location: Downtown (Onsite) Monday-Thursday onsite and Friday remote Type: 12-Month Contract (Temp-to-Hire) Parking: Paid parking required Overview We are seeking an Enterprise Architect II to support enterprise-wide architecture initiatives with a strong focus on business architecture. This role will play a key part in aligning IT strategy with business capabilities, transformation efforts, and long-term organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop enterprise architecture solutions across software, hardware, and communication systems
Ensure systems align with IT architecture standards, integration requirements, and compliance frameworks
Analyze workflows, organizational structures, and planning processes to identify gaps and drive improvements
Develop and maintain business architecture frameworks, capability models, and transformation roadmaps
Support cross-functional integration and ensure alignment between business and IT strategies
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members
Required Skills & Experience
Experience delivering enterprise-level technology solutions (custom development environments preferred)
Strong background in business architecture (capability modeling, value streams, process architecture)
Experience with enterprise architecture tools (Ardoq preferred)
Ability to evaluate technical solutions, lead planning efforts, and present recommendations
Experience with vendor evaluations and solution justification
Strong understanding of software engineering design and architecture frameworks
Qualifications
TOGAF certification required
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
