Overview

HII- Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect. The Enterprise Architect searches, develops, documents, and analyzes enterprise, operational, and system architectures for the SAF CDM Combatant Command Intelligence, Enterprise Management Support Office (CCI EMSO) customer.

HII Mission Driven Innovative Solutions (MDIS) is a business group within Technical Solutions; a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) that delivers professional services to a wide variety of government and commercial customers worldwide. HII MDIS has over 2100 employees worldwide who deliver critical services to our DoD, IC and Federal/Civilian customers across five service portfolios: IT and Software Applications; Modeling, Simulation and Training; Mission Engineering and Operations Support; Intelligence and Cyberspace Operations; and Logistics and Lifecycle Management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, nodes, activities, associated inputs, controls, outputs, and mechanisms

  • Develop DOD Architecture Framework-compliant views and associated data. • Prepare, staff, and publish formal Command architecture assessment documents. • Produce architecture development plans and reports. • Conduct Strategic Architecture Branch staff actions (tasks, papers, briefings, etc.) • Research, develop/document, and analyze CCMDs architectures (including business/war fighting/enterprise information environment/intelligence processes and information technology) to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls; determine and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions; and research and develop other architecture related documents and plans. • Participate in DOD Enterprise Architecture conferences and meetings; generate minutes and capture key action items. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required -

  • Extensive experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, best practices and goals (DoDAF 2.0, Zachman, FEAC, TOGAF, UPDM, or UAF)

  • Background or experience in DoD intelligence IT systems and capabilities; familiarity with DoD functions, combatant commands, Joint Staff, and coalition/mission partners

  • Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Joint military experience.

  • Experience with Enterprise risk management, mitigation strategies, and project planning.

  • Proficient at all MS Office ProductsExcellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral briefs to senior management.

  • 14 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 12 years of relevant experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed above.

  • Clearance: Must have active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred -

  • Experience utilizing DODAF diagraming tools • FEAC Certification
