Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a major branch of our Armed Forces.  They have a need for a Enterprise Architect, in this role you will ensure new and existing systems are properly integrate, modernized, and aligned with strategic objectives, while being a key advisor on enterprise-wide technology decisions and roadmap development.  This opportunity is on-site in the DC Area.

 

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, engineering, and system design of enterprise-level solutions across the broader DAF enterprise.
  • Evaluate new and existing systems to ensure they are effectively integrated, modernized, and aligned with organizational goals and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps that guide technology modernization efforts and support mission priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on enterprise-wide technology decisions, system integration strategies, and architectural best practices.
  • Assess the impact of emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance interoperability, scalability, security, and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business functions to ensure architectural decisions support both current requirements and future mission needs.
  • Provide strategic guidance on systems engineering approaches, technical standards, and governance to promote consistency across the enterprise.
  • Support the planning and execution of modernization initiatives that improve the performance, resilience, and sustainability of enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Enterprise Architecture & Systems Engineering Expertise — Demonstrated experience architecting, integrating, and modernizing large-scale enterprise systems within complex organizational environments.
  • Strategic Technical Writing — Exceptional written communication skills with a proven track record of developing technical and formal documentation, including proposals, technical reports, white papers, policy documents, and academic theses.
  • Executive-Level Verbal Communication — Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, senior executives, and cross-functional teams in a concise and actionable manner.
  • Client Relationship Management — Proven success in establishing and maintaining trusted, long-term relationships with senior clients and mission partners.
  • Detail Orientation & Analytical Skills — Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other business productivity tools.
  • Meeting Documentation & Executive Support — Experience capturing comprehensive meeting minutes and action items during high-level discussions, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and traceability.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior DoD Experience — Experience supporting DoD organizations, DAF stakeholders, or similar federal clients.
  • Client-Facing Experience (2+ Years) — Minimum of two years in roles involving direct client interaction, advisory services, or stakeholder engagement and management.
