Enterprise Architect III, Master Data Management (Remote, Texas)

Location: Remote (Texas, 78751)

Pay Rate: $82.66 per hour

Assignment Length: September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Lead Enterprise Data Strategy for One of Texas' Largest Healthcare Technology Initiatives

 

Are you an experienced Enterprise Architect with expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), Informatica, Enterprise Information Management (EIM), and large-scale healthcare data platforms?

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect III to join the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team supporting the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). This role will lead the design and implementation of enterprise Master Data Management solutions that improve data quality, governance, analytics, and AI-enabled decision making across one of the nation's largest public sector healthcare organizations.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for an architect who enjoys solving complex enterprise data challenges while influencing statewide technology strategy.

 

What You'll Do

As the Enterprise Master Data Architect, you will serve as the technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise Master Data Management capabilities across multiple healthcare domains.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform.
  • Architect scalable solutions supporting healthcare provider, member, and reference data domains.
  • Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica, Oracle, and Snowflake technologies.
  • Lead implementation of enterprise metadata management and data governance initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance MDM application components and integrations.
  • Create logical and physical data models using Erwin, ERStudio, or equivalent modeling tools.
  • Partner with business analysts, data engineers, program staff, and executive leadership to translate business requirements into enterprise data solutions.
  • Support agile development and enterprise application lifecycle management.
  • Oversee metadata loading processes and data quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with agency security, coding, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical leadership on AI-enabled data discovery, metadata enrichment, and enterprise analytics.
  • Develop standardized AI prompts and reusable query templates for enterprise reporting.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs and identify potential inaccuracies or hallucinations.
  • Mentor project teams while promoting enterprise data governance and data literacy across the organization.

 

Required Qualifications

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect with a proven background delivering enterprise-scale Master Data Management solutions.

 

Required Experience

  • 8+ years designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • 8+ years developing enterprise ETL solutions using Informatica.
  • 8+ years of advanced Informatica development experience.
  • 8+ years implementing Enterprise Information Management (EIM) best practices.
  • 8+ years designing custom Informatica PowerCenter solutions.
  • 8+ years working with enterprise data modeling tools such as Erwin or ERStudio.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Proven success managing multiple priorities in complex enterprise environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

  • Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
  • Informatica Metadata Manager architecture.
  • Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
  • Healthcare or Health and Human Services data environments.
  • Enterprise Data Governance.
  • Metadata management.
  • Snowflake.
  • Agile software development methodologies.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) prompt engineering and AI-assisted analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
