Conway Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Physician for our ENT service line. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of ENT Health in our community by leading a well-established program into its next phase of growth. The Physician will integrate into an important role in providing world class patient care, expanding clinical services, and elevating patient-centered care across the service line.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)
- Practice Call Schedule: Shared call schedule, 1:3 (will go to 1:4 with full recruitment) rotation for patient care needs through telephone calls - also supported by after-hours nurse triage.
- Support Staff: The physician will have a team consisting of their own clinic support staff, and an APP for the team
- Each physician has their own designated RN for support
- EMR: Cerner
- Call: 1:3 will be going to 1:4 with new hire
- Patient volume: On average 30+ per day
- Accessibility to ORs & Clinic time
- 2 days in OR / 2.5 days in clinic / .5-day admin
- Patient panel: newborn to geriatrics
- Full clinical support, dedicated staff and nursing staff
- Head and neck cancer specialists
- Sub-spec in audiology w/ onsite audiologist
Scope of practice offered to our community:
- Tumors of the head and neck
- Surgery of the tonsils and adenoids
- Thyroid and parathyroid problems
- Removal of facial lesions/cancers
- Fractures of nose and facial fractures
- Surgical treatment of snoring and sleep apnea
FACILITIES & SUPPORT:
- Main Campus: Currently 10 operating rooms (pre and post operative area)
- Single-site setup: ASC, clinic, and hospital integrated for efficiency
- Imaging/Diagnostics: PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy
- Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT
- Surgical Referrals: Includes breast, colorectal, and vascular; Bone marrow transplants referred to Charleston (MUSC or Roper St Francis)
- ACGME Accredited: Medical students, CMC Family Medicine Residency, transitional year, Sports Medicine Fellowship program
- Currently undergoing submission to become accredited by The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
