Enrollment Specialist / Administrative Assistant Full-Time
Pay Range: $41,854 - $46,848 per year
Hours: Ability to work a flexible day or evening schedule within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays
What you'll do:
Work with advisement staff to finalize the registration process by inputting accurate and verifiable student demographic information, program or course enrollment objective, and class schedule into the Student Information System
Assist students in a professional manner - understand the difference between personal and professional standards and recognize when professional boundaries may be blurred or crossed
Understand and follow registration procedures and protocols
Serve as telephone operator/receptionist for Student Services Department; receive, screen and forward calls; answer general questions about College programs and services
Serve as primary contact for scheduling and checking in appointments for student services personnel
Greet and direct visitors to appropriate locations and classrooms; determine the nature of their business and provide information to appropriate staff for follow-up
Hand out and/or mail informational materials
Provide general administrative support including professionally written correspondence utilizing accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation
What we're looking for:
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Proficient knowledge of computer operating systems and software including; Microsoft applications, Google applications, typing speed of 35 wpm, and operation of general office equipment
Business Technology Certificate, or one year of responsible experience performing related duties
Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) preferred
Outstanding customer service skills and professional demeanor and conduct
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with a diverse student population, administration, faculty, staff, and the community
Ability to develop effective working relationships
Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a high interpersonal contact environment
Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by workloads and time deadlines
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
