Aspen Group, Inc. is an education technology holding company that leverages its infrastructure and expertise to allow its two universities, Aspen University and United States University, to deliver on the vision of making college affordable again.

United States University has opening for a full-time Enrollment Advisor.  This role is a hybrid role, with work-from-home flexibility.  Training would be held in-office.  Following training and onboarding, schedule would require 1-2 days in office per week. 

The Enrollment Advisor provides a consultative service to prospective students with the goal of helping them; 1) make an informed decision to apply to United States University, and 2) to guide each students' application process all the way through their first enrollment while providing the best student experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls, e-mails, and live chats as a means to respond to prospective student's questions about the University's academic offerings/accreditations/quality of professors/course & graduation rates, and assist prospective students through the application process.
  • Make outbound calls to existing (in process) applicants to help them complete their application process. Make outbound calls and send e-mails to prospective students that have completed a University inquiry form.
  • Use professional and proper communication to relay necessary information to prospective students.
  • Schedule appointments to effectively contact and follow up with all prospective students.
  • Document all interactions with prospective students into the lead database (including phone calls, e-mails, and live chats), update student information, and reach out to other departments for additional assistance, as needed.
  • Assist applicants in compiling the necessary admission documents.
  • Strive to meet a daily activity goal in addition to a monthly team enrollment goal.
  • Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Candidate should possess excellent oral communication skills, exhibit patience and adaptability, and be able to multi-task.
  • Have the highest level of integrity following all University, State, and Federal requirements.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and sit or stand at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel, e-mail, Internet, and the ability to learn the internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other necessary systems.
  • Ability to listen effectively and communicate consistently in an upbeat manner verbally and through e-mail.

Experience:

  • Sales, Customer Service, Call Center, Enrollment, or Business Development experience, 2 + years (preferred) or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills & abilities have been achieved

Education:

  • Bachelors (preferred), in business, management, health administration, or related field. Some college education is required.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid position that requires working from home using a university-provided laptop. The role involves regular use of email, video conferencing, and other online tools to communicate and complete tasks. A quiet workspace and a reliable internet connection are essential. Employees are responsible for abiding by all FERPA privacy laws within their remote work environment.
  • When at the office, the essential functions of the job are usually performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
