Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English (ESL) Language teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Cincinnati.
Job Information: We're offering two separate classes for a mom and a 12-year-old child (Ref. # 197238/197243).
- Lesson Location: Cincinnati, OH 45230 (near TriHealth Five Mile | Anderson on 7810 Five Mile Rd)
- Preferred start date: June 17th
- Current target language level: Beginner
- Language spoken at home: Italian
For mom (C197238):
- Availability: Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm
- Lesson Frequency: 1 x a week
- Lesson Duration: 1 hour
- Student’s language needs and goals: She would like to improve conversation skills. Topics of interest for her lessons are:
- Listening comprehension tips and strategies
- Common phrases native speakers use every day
- Practicing real conversations with native speakers
For child (C197243):
- Availability: Monday to Friday at 3 pm
- Lesson Frequency: 5 x a week
- Lesson Duration: 1 hour
- Student’s language needs and goals: She will be starting 7th grade next school year and is a beginner in the language. Her parents would like the lessons to focus on preparing her to adapt confidently to school, both academically and socially. They hope she can make the most of the summer by immersing herself in the language as much as possible, which will help her feel more comfortable and prepared before the school year begins.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or a related field
- To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience
