Position Title: Engineering Technician

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Engineering Technician with our client located in Redmond, Washington.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute test plans provided by engineering.
  • Develop detailed test plans and procedures based on high level guidelines from engineering.
  • Record and organize data for further analysis.
  • Rework circuit boards, cables and system prototypes as necessary.
  • Build complex prototype cable assemblies for engineering use.
  • Assist with prototype builds and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are observed during laboratory work.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Three years of relevant education or experience in engineering, engineering technology, design technology, or a related field (required)
  • Fine pitch soldering and PCBA rework.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, function generators, etc.
  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with engineers and other employees of the organization.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Pay Rate Range: $32/hr-$38/hr.
  • Location: Redmond, WA.
  • ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
