Role: Engineering Technician
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: up to $30/hr (W2, non-benefited)  
Length: 12-months  
Location: Orlando, FL
Clearance: Candidate must have the Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance. Not needed to start.
 
Description: 
  • Provide independent technical support to engineers on moderately complex assignments.
  • Gather, format, and manipulate technical data, including material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Conduct and record comprehensive test activities, specifically supporting stress testing on eCASS and SSR.
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary data analysis to ensure model dimensional consistency and trajectory adequacy.
  • Produce high-quality engineering documentation, including flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and reports.
  • Utilize software tools and personal computers to analyze results and present recommendations.
  • Determine appropriate methods or sequences for production and technical operations; contribute to equipment modification based on requirements.
  • Lead or provide direction to junior personnel or technicians as needed.
 
Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in an engineering or technical support role.
  • 2-4 years of experience with Mechanical Assembly, Electronics, and Cable Harness integration.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Electronic Testing, Hardware Testing, Electrical Testing, and Stress Testing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Circuit Design, Schematics, and Electronics circuit card troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in C#, Git, and Power BI for data analysis and software version control.
  • Familiarity with Electro-mechanical sensors and actuators, Instrumentation, and Electrical Standards.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and General Engineering practices.

  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within technical environments.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of service for internal and external stakeholders.
 
Required Education and Experience:
B.S. or higher; must possess 9+ years of related experience
