Position Description:
Provide technical support for the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Systems Sustainment Branch to include performing tasks such as assembling, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment.
This position is for 2nd shift. Work schedule: 4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. EST
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment; coordinate test schedules; prepare inputs for test plans; review test plans and procedures; conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing; adjust units under test; analyze test results; and determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly.
Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing.
Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
AA Degree in related discipline and two (2) years or more of related experience; Or, High School and four (4) years of related experience.
Required:
Position will require the candidate to hold a Secret Security Clearance. (Must possess Secret clearance/Interim Secret to begin tasking.)
An understanding of electronics principles, mechanical systems
Ability to read engineering diagrams and drawings.
Communication and teamwork skills: The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
Must be U.S. citizen.
Desired:
Soldering experience. Preferably 7711/7721 Solder Certified or J-STD-001 Solder Certified
