Job's mission

We are looking for a hands-on, driven Lab Specialist to join our Metrology team in Phoenix. In this role, you’ll enable cutting-edge materials characterization for semiconductor devices that shape the world we live in.

This is an ideal first step for a motivated graduate with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, preferably in Materials Science, or equivalent experience and training, who’s eager to enter the semiconductor industry and learn from top experts. After onboarding, you’ll operate advanced instrumentation, help develop analytical methods, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality data and insights.

What you will be working on

  • Operate and troubleshoot a variety of metrology systems in and outside the clean room.
  • Perform standard analysis procedures.
  • Conduct sample pre-treatment for FIB lift out: identify areas of interest, cleave, clean, and coat, meeting cycle-time targets.
  • Collect, organize, and report analytical data to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop innovative analytical methods and techniques.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and organization in line with 6S housekeeping standards.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience and on the job training. Materials Science or other technical field preferred.
  • Any experience in thin film analysis for semiconductor devices is a plus.
  • Programming skills are highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a three-shift system.
