Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Equipment Engineering Technician to ensure the operational availability of advanced cell manufacturing equipment for Tesla Energy batteries. This role is pivotal in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems factory automation and robotics within a fast-paced demanding environment.

As a first responder to machine breakdowns the technician will play a critical role in managing recoveries and supporting the production of cutting-edge battery technology in a world-class manufacturing facility in the Bay Area CA.

Install maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems in cell manufacturing equipment

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with factory automation and robotics to minimize downtime

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and execute effective recovery processes

Perform physically demanding tasks including working in tight spaces standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Utilize hand tools and power tools to support equipment maintenance and repairs

Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability

Document maintenance activities and report on equipment status to ensure operational continuity

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience

Proven experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems

Familiarity with factory automation and robotics troubleshooting

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams

24.40 - 50.40hour cash and stock awards benefits
