This is a permanent role offering a dynamic salary and benefits package. The position requires physical presence at the worksite and is open exclusively to U.S. citizens with TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for CI Polygraph. Expertise in deciphering engineering blueprints, adhering to detailed protocols, and familiarity with machining tools like lathes, mills, and CNC is valuable. Experience in lab or production settings translates well to this role. While having a photonics background can be advantageous, it isn't mandatory. We provide in-depth training to equip technicians from other fields with photonics-specific skills, such as optical fiber handling, precise alignment methods, and unique testing processes. Possessing technical capability and meticulousness makes you a great fit, and we'll cover the rest.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Carry out fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, or inspection processes following elaborate instructions and schematics. This includes tasks like optical fiber splicing and recoating, constructing and examining photonics circuits, building mechanical assemblies, soldering metals, and using microscopy and profilometry.
• Skilled in machining components utilizing traditional tools and machinery is essential.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of related experience, or an Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is necessary.
