Nesco Resource is seeking an Engineering Technician for our client, in Laurens, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting manufacturing operations, and working on continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Summary

The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing by assisting with equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, process improvements, and preventive maintenance. This role works closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality to improve equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, startup, and testing of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Perform equipment adjustments and minor repairs to improve machine performance.
• Assist with process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Install and maintain tooling, fixtures, sensors, and automation components.
• Document equipment repairs, engineering changes, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with production trials, equipment validations, and process testing.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to reduce equipment downtime.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience will be considered in place of formal education.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• PLC, robotics, or automation experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
