Job Title: Project Manager - Construction / Field Services

Job Description

Oversees day-to-day activities on active construction and field service sites to keep projects on schedule, resolve issues quickly, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. Serves as the primary on-site contact for customers and contractors, coordinates field resources, and provides clear updates to internal stakeholders. Ideal for a field-focused professional who thrives on-site, leads small crews, and drives progress in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend job sites daily; represent the company in coordination meetings.
  • Track progress against schedules, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
  • Serve as escalation point for site issues (manpower, materials, documentation, etc.).
  • Communicate site status, risks, and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Act as primary on-site contact for customers and contractors.
  • Lead and coordinate small field teams (3-10 personnel); assign tasks and monitor performance.
  • Align field execution with project plans alongside general contractors and stakeholders.
  • Identify delays, out-of-scope work, and additional opportunities; escalate as needed.
  • Conduct site walks, document observations, and deliver progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to contracts, company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Use tools (Excel, Procore, MS Project, etc.) to track schedules, progress, and reporting.
  • Support commissioning and coordination of electrical/MEP systems as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Associate's degree in construction management, electrical technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of construction, field service, or project coordination experience.
  • Experience working on active construction sites and coordinating daily field activities.
  • Ability to be on-site up to 80% of the time.
  • Strong schedule tracking, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and project tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Experience leading or coordinating small crews.
  • Strong communication skills across field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in construction, industrial, or field service environments.

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of UPS, STS, PDU systems or MEP/electrical commissioning preferred.
  • Experience with quality assurance, checklists, and validation processes.
  • Ability to identify and communicate project risks, delays, and opportunities.
  • Strong safety mindset and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel for project support.

Work Environment

Fully on-site role based in Abernathy, TX, with daily presence on active construction sites. Involves leading crews, coordinating with contractors, conducting site walks, and managing progress in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel may support projects nationwide.

This is a Contract position based out of Abernathy, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $57.00/hr.
