Description
Reporting directly into the Vice President of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Lead a small project team to support key programs relating to chemical engineering and materials science.
- Identify technical risks and opportunities of product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Drive development of products and processes to ensure timely delivery of programs.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders and leadership teams effectively.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Adhere to strict timelines and have strong sense of urgency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Profile
A successful Engineering Program Manager should have:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, etc.
- Master's Degree in related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience of technical engineering experience in related field of chemical engineering, materials science, metallurgy, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical product development program management role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and interact with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.
