Role Summary:
This role is foundational to enabling Caterpillar's Connected Worksite vision, where all assets within a site are seamlessly connected, generating actionable data to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability. By leading the development of a scalable site connectivity solution, you will directly impact the future of digital operations across Caterpillar customers worldwide.
The Engineering Manager - Site Connectivity will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end connectivity solutions across customer worksites. This role operates at the intersection of connected assets, industrial networks, edge computing, and enterprise digital platforms, enabling seamless integration of machines, systems, and applications across diverse environments.
This position requires strong alignment with Caterpillar's Digital and Connectivity strategy, with a focus on industrial IoT, system integration, security, and multi-site deployments.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Advanced degrees preferred)
10+ years of experience in Industrial connectivity / IoT / telematics / embedded systems
3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams
Experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment industries
Strong expertise in:
Edge computing and connected site architecture
Industrial IoT platforms and telemetry systems
Private wireless (LTE/5G), satellite, and hybrid networks
Experience managing global deployments in remote environments
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks for connected systems

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00
