The Engineering Manager leads New Project Launch Engineers in driving new product introductions, process improvements, and operational efficiency across production and quality functions. This role manages capital projects, establishes technical standards, and oversees engineering and technician teams to ensure customer requirements, operational excellence, and profitability objectives are achieved.

This role partners closely with engineering, tooling, and quality teams to develop, refine, and maintain robust manufacturing processes that support reliable, repeatable, and high-quality production outcomes.
Description
- Leads the New Project Launch Engineering department to meet customer demand and achieve profit margin goals.
- Oversees preparation and implementation of product launches, specification changes, and process changes.
- Defines and recommends purchase of capital equipment; prepares investment budgets and payback analyses.
- Prepares and manages implementation plans for new part projects.
- Reviews, approves, and creates manufacturing work instructions.
- Creates or updates routings in the ERP system.
- Conducts time studies and labor analyses to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Defines quality plans in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.
- Analyzes technical requirements and specifications against internal process capabilities.
- Participates in RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure technical feasibility.
- Drives lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
A successful Engineering Manager should have:
- 5+ Years of Engineering management experience in a machining environment
- Project Management Experience
- Mills and Lathes experience
- Swiss machining experience is preferred
- Sponsorship not provided
