An exciting opportunity has opened for a dynamic leader to steer the engineering and quality operations at a regional service center for a thriving and globally recognized manufacturing division. This position demands oversight of technical processes involving the inspection, repair, and overhaul of sophisticated rotating machinery, focusing on precision, excellence, and punctual delivery to meet customer expectations.

The successful candidate will be the on-site technical authority, engaging closely with various departments such as operations, sales, and supply chain, and will maintain solid relationships with the global engineering team. This influential role is crucial for boosting customer satisfaction, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving superior technical standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and mentor a team of regional engineers, instilling technical expertise and providing strategic guidance.
- Direct engineering and quality operations related to equipment inspection, repair, and overhaul.
- Evaluate breakdowns, identify failure causes, and outline repair strategies for client assets.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables align with corporate benchmarks, client criteria, and industry standards.
- Drive timely, superior inspection, and repair services across all projects.
- Execute reverse engineering as necessary to facilitate repair and production processes.
- Interpret and align project execution with customer technical requirements.
- Serve as the main technical liaison with sales, supply chain, operations, and external entities.
- Collaborate with workshop staff to complete intricate repair and reconstruction tasks.
- Oversee assembly, testing, and final inspection processes to meet quality and timing benchmarks.
- Deliver detailed technical reports and documentation in line with contractual obligations.
- Guide project management for urgent, complex, and high-value orders.
- Support customer service with estimates, technical insights, and project progress updates.
- Attend to customer needs by participating in visits and technical briefings.
- Supervise subcontracted external vendor work ensuring technical integrity.
- Maintain consistent, accurate engineering records, data packages, and documentation.
- Oversee quality control activities, including calibration, corrective actions, and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with the global engineering network to foster best practices and continuous improvements.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (e.g., Industrial or Aerospace Engineering).
- 12-15 years of relevant experience with rotating equipment, familiar with gearboxes and power transmission systems.
- Proficient in CAD and PC-based engineering tools; experience with Solidworks is preferred.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams in service, repair, or manufacturing settings.
- In-depth understanding of industrial equipment inspection, repair, and overhaul processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to evolving demands, and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, and supply chain.
- Comfortable with customer engagement and technical presentation delivery.
