This role oversees approximately 15 engineers and technical staff across the U.S. and Canada and reports to the Director of Engineering.The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical leader with deep expertise in power systems, switchgear, and substation engineering, combined with strong engineering management experience and a track record of driving process improvements. This role partners closely with manufacturing, mechanical engineering, testing, and project management to ensure high‑quality, manufacturable designs and successful project execution.This is a high‑impact leadership role responsible for technical direction, team development, and cross‑site engineering consistency.Job DutiesLead design, development, testing, and validation of switchgear, PDUs, and substation systemsServe as technical SME for protection & control and power distribution systemsManage and develop a distributed engineering and test teamDrive engineering process improvements and standardization across multiple sitesEnsure compliance with UL, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and industry standardsCollaborate with manufacturing, mechanical, and project teams to improve design for manufacturabilityOversee engineering schedules, budgets, and resource planningSupport hiring, training, and development of engineering staffTravel to Dallas and Ontario sites to support and develop teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required10+ years of electrical engineering experience5+ years in a leadership or engineering management roleStrong background in medium‑voltage switchgear and substation systemsExperience with protection & control / relay systemsKnowledge of UL, ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standardsProven leadership and process improvement experienceOEM, EPC, or utility experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
