We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a growing engineering team within a highly specialized manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across industrial power and control applications.

The organization operates in highly regulated environments and maintains multiple UL certifications, delivering compliant, high-quality products across industrial and energy-related applications.

With full in-house capabilities spanning engineering design, assembly, and testing, the business supports complex, standards-driven projects for a diverse customer base. Continued growth is driving expansion across its engineering team and technical leadership.


Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 electrical engineers and technicians
  • Oversee design and development of control panels, switchboards, and power distribution systems
  • Ensure all designs meet UL standards and certifications (UL508A, UL891, etc.)
  • Drive engineering execution from concept through manufacturing and delivery
  • Interpret customer specifications and translate them into manufacturable solutions
  • Review and approve schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, quality, and commercial teams
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Support testing, validation, and compliance efforts
  • Engage with customers and vendors on technical matters

Profile

A successful Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Prior leadership experience managing engineering teams
  • Direct UL experience (required)
  • Strong background in panel building and switchboard design
  • Expertise in power distribution systems
  • Experience working with NEC codes and electrical compliance standards
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
  • Experience in automation, industrial systems, or renewable energy applications
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation or Allen-Bradley products
  • Experience in a UL-certified manufacturing environment
