A leading consulting and business process outsourcing firm is seeking an EIM Practice Director to lead the strategy, growth, and delivery of enterprise information management services. The ideal candidate is a strategic, client-focused leader with strong communication and practice development capabilities. Working collaboratively, the new leader will grow the practice by delivering innovative solutions while aligning internal teams and clients around a shared vision for information management.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • With the Executive Team, define EIM practice revenue, margin, and utilization targets and contribute to strategies to achieve targets.
  • Define and build / maintain a resource model required to achieve targets and deliver core services.
  • With the benefit of provided market intelligence, shape / refine the company EIM service offerings, articulate the business reason why a prospect or client should initiate an engagement, and communicate the value to be gained.
  • Seek opportunities to actively grow the EIM practice, opportunities to innovate and enhance services offerings, and opportunities to refine methodologies to gain efficiencies and greater revenue.
  • Identify leads independently and pursue leads identified by company sales resources and shape opportunities for prospects.
  • Vet opportunities against established criteria and articulate rationale to pursue or decline.
  • Develop proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, etc., and develop statements of work for new and established clients.
  • Build executive-level trust and relationships, internally and with clients and prospects.
  • Monitor the quality of the client experience, including contract compliance, through feedback solicitation and proactive issue resolution.
  • Proactively analyze resources skill sets against service offerings and emerging technologies, regulations, and project trends and identify hiring needs, training opportunities and certification paths.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for direct reports and facilitate this process at lower levels within the EIM organization. Identify individual strengths and delegate responsibility as a means to grow and empower.
  • Participate in performance management program and provide ongoing dialog with direct reports. Identify career paths and growth / development areas and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with company Executive Team and Extended Leadership Team to realize Company growth targets and identify and achieve annual and quarterly priorities.
  • Promote cross-company collaboration among employees by sharing client successes, challenges, and industry trends.
  • Serve as thought leader, contributing to blogs, white papers, and other mediums, and speaking at industry events
  • Contribute to budget process.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of engineering and the construction industry, whether through experience or education
  • Experience shaping and providing consulting and managed services
  • 10 years experience with project management, change management, and team management   
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, identifying and shaping business opportunities, creating budgets, and developing and executing against strategies
  • Takes the initiative to learn and grow in our evolving profession
  • Up to 20% travel
  • Project management and / or change management certification is nice to have
