Schedule: Full-time, onsite, 1st shift. Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 12 months (contract)
Pay Rate: $70/hr


Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer to support the development of electronic products and systems. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing hardware designs, validating designs through reviews and testing, and supporting products throughout their lifecycle. The engineer will also collaborate with supplier management on limited-scope technical services and make/buy recommendations, as well as investigate emerging technologies for future design needs.

This position offers a mix of detailed hardware design and system-level troubleshooting, requiring versatility and strong technical expertise.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for electronic products.

  • Develop high-level and detailed hardware designs consistent with requirements.

  • Validate designs through design reviews, testing, and analysis.

  • Track and report technical performance measures to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Provide engineering support across the entire product lifecycle.

  • Support supplier management with technical input and make/buy recommendations.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into future products.

  • Perform system troubleshooting and assist with integration activities.


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Create and refine detailed hardware designs and wiring layouts.

  • Perform system troubleshooting and resolve technical issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Support validation, integration, and lifecycle engineering activities.


Required Technical Skills

  • Cable & Assembly Wiring Design

  • Power Distribution & Control

  • System & Assembly Grounding

  • Proficiency with design utilities/tools


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and 5+ years of related experience, OR

  • Master's degree plus 3+ years of related experience, OR

  • PhD in related field, OR

  • Equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

  • ABET accreditation preferred but not required (U.S. only).
