Job Summary

Join Medline’s ReadyCare team in Waukegan, where we manufacture medical-grade hygiene and infection prevention wipes used in hospitals and healthcare settings.

In this role, you will work under limited supervision to analyze existing processes, troubleshoot production issues, develop solutions, and implement new processes to improve efficiencies and labor savings. You will also manage multiple projects of medium to large scope

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, review, and recommend technological solutions and innovative techniques to reduce manufacturing expenses and improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Support root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective actions across key processes.
  • Lead multiple medium-scale capital projects from concept to implementation involving cross-functional teams.
  • Develop project plans including action steps, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Participate in validation and implementation of new or improved processes and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct training on quality assurance, engineering practices, and process improvements when appropriate.

Required Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years engineering experience.

  • Technical writing, research paper writing, and/or experimental design experience.

  • ERP systems knowledge and experience.

  • Intermediate skill level in computer and systems use (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Preferred experience:

  • Engineering experience within or directly supporting a manufacturing environment preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,000.00 - $128,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
