You would be responsible for:Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structuresCreating analysis models and interpreting results for 2D and 3D structural framesAssisting with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviewUnderstanding load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculating applicable loads based on appropriate building codesAssisting with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures teamPreparing technical studies and reportsIn this position, the individual will be required to work closely with a team of Structural Engineers and/or Project Managers. A willingness to work in a team environment, following the standards we have in place is a must. A “can-do”, client-focused attitude is crucial.QualificationsMaster's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering4-8 years of experienceP.E. license in your resident state requiredExperience with Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper is a plusExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong organizational skillsAs a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore combines the best of both worlds – blending work options to include in-office and home office environments. This allows us to offer more flexibility and work-life integration to our employees. Candidates applying for this position should have the ability to commute to or periodically travel to the affiliated office.To ensure the ability to setup a suitable home office space, Walter P Moore offers a one-time $1,000 stipend that would be paid upon completion of the first week of employment.
