    Engineer III's work as part of a multi-discipline team performing structural engineering design during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. Work will be performed with supervision receiving advice and direction from Senior Engineers. Some independent judgment is required on work details. Work must consistently deliver technically correct solutions for small projects or tasks within complex/large scope projects. Assignments will include performing design calculations, interpreting and preparing reports, and producing deliverable drawing sets including foundation plans, framing plans, details, and schedules.Job ResponsibilitiesDesigns and specifies project-appropriate structural engineering requirementsAssists to direct the work of EITs and DesignersPerforms Revit modeling and detailingConducts site investigations and observationsPrepares narratives, reports, calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraintsPerforms cross-discipline discussions and coordinationParticipates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, solving construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design conceptAssists to communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project developmentAssists to mentors and encourage the development of junior professionals and designersAssists with marketing and business development activities including building relationship with key clients and strategic partnersTravel for marketing and project-related activities will be requiredRequired Education & ExperienceABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis2 – 6 years' experience in structural engineering within the A/E industryEngineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)Strong interest to pursue licensure as a structural engineerDemonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards (ACI, AISC, NDS, ASCE, etc.) with the ability to apply them to real-world, multidisciplinary projectsProduction experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit StructureSelf-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skillsPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-disciplinary teamPreferred Education & ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge and proficiency using RISA 2d and 3d, and the RAM and PCA suite of programsAbility to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriatelyTangential knowledge of other building systemsExperience with client facing communication and coordinationBeginner's knowledge of project management fundamentalsLEO A DALY LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
