Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic Product Engineer II to join the Operation Product Engineering team within the FPGA Business Unit in San Jose, CA. This role supports manufacturing issues, product yield enhancement, and failure analysis for current and next‑generation FPGA/SoC products.ResponsibilitiesWork on current and next‑generation Microchip FPGA products.Perform failure analysis and yield enhancement activities on FPGA/SOC products.Characterize and evaluate FPGA/SOC products, validating on‑chip components such as micro‑processors, high‑speed I/O (SERDES and DDR), eNVM, SRAM, charge pumps, PLLs, and analog I/O. Complete pre/post‑silicon debug and verification.Support manufacturing issues, yield analysis, and yield improvement activities.Support qualification activities and electrical parameter assessment/analysis. Assist with engineering silicon reliability experiments.Collaborate with teams across the FPGA BU, including Design, Technology Development, Customer Support, Product/Test Engineering, and Quality.Requirements / QualificationsB.S. in Electrical Engineering.2.5+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.Solid understanding of digital circuits, CMOS logic, VLSI design, and semiconductor physics.Design skills in Verilog/VHDL; experience with EDA tools (e.g., Synopsis, Cadence Virtuoso).Self‑motivated with strong logical and analytical thinking skills.Experience analyzing yield and electrical test data.Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.Experience working in a laboratory environment using electrical test and debug equipment.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of FPGA or CPLDs.Experience performing failure analysis and root‑cause investigations.Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and product qualification processes.Travel Time0% – 25%Physical Attributes / RequirementsFeeling, Hearing, Other, Reaching, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around Others.80% Sitting, 10% Walking, 10% Standing.
