    Description

    Soltesz, Inc. has a full time position for a Site / Civil Engineer III in our Waldorf, MD office, who likes working with skilled professionals in a team oriented environment. This position performs a variety of civil engineering design functions in support of a variety of major projects in the region. The candidate must be career driven, technologically savvy, and able to adapt to a wide variety of project types and sizes.

    The work required by the Engineer II/III is diverse ranging from general site / civil engineering duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in MicroStation / AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat. Experience in software programs which may include, but not limited to: TR-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS, XP-SWM, Hydroflow, KY-Pipe, WaterCad is preferred, but not required.

    Previous design experience with site / civil projects in either Charles County, Prince George's County, St. Mary's County or Montgomery County, Maryland is preferred.

    Job Requirements

    • BS degree in Civil Engineering
    • 4-5+ years of progressive experience directly related to site / civil engineering design and construction of land development projects in the Washington DC Metro area, specific experience in Charles County or Prince George's County is a plus.
    • Responsible for preparing project design documents including: site grading, roadway design, storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment and erosion control design, and water & sewer infrastructure design, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet project and client deadlines.
    • Works efficiently to meet project budgets.
    • Prepares graphics, exhibits, and site / civil construction plans.
    • Communicates effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
    • Composes technical design reports, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
    • Handles multiple concurrent projects.
    • Ability to mentor and train other civil engineering design staff.
    • Other duties as required
    • Maryland PE is a plus.
