Ready for the challenge?Who We AreTomorrow's most advanced automotive technology is being envisioned today at MOBIS Parts America (MPA). A subsidiary of Hyundai MOBIS, we are a top leading automotive parts supplier. MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.DescriptionThe Accessory Development Engineer will guide new accessories through the development process from initiation to production and provide input on specifications, design criteria, and approval requirements. The Engineer follows established engineering processes and guides suppliers, customers and internal Mobis resources to see that issues are resolved promptly and projects completed on time.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks with suppliers in designing, testing and approving accessories to ensure milestone readiness, including 100% on-time launch. (40%) Using engineering principles, CAD and available engineering tools, execute design analysis and evaluation of assigned projects to assure all products meet all State and Federal regulations and established design standards. (40%)Improve accessory quality through lessons learned activities utilizing DFMEA and post-development meetings with program shareholders. (10%)Reports on project status, maintains records and files documents per department policy to maintain reporting and communications of development status. (10%)Key Performance IndicatorsWork with external and internal resources in defining new products, generating proposals and project plans, and developing appropriate product performance and validation specifications.
