We are currently seeking an Engineer I, II, III, or Project Manager for our Owensboro, KY office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provide engineering design, project management, and construction support on a diverse range of complex natural gas and liquid pipeline projects, requiring the use of experience, innovation, and judgment to provide for the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation of natural gas and liquids.

Work assignments will include:

• Collecting data and performing root cause analysis • Developing alternatives and preparing estimates and proposals for solutions to novel and unique problems encountered in the operation of natural gas and liquid pipelines and facilities • Collaborating with Regional leaders to conceptualize and estimate maintenance, capital, maintenance expense, and reimbursable projects • Developing and executing project plans, budgets, and schedules • Preparing specifications, ordering materials, reviewing and approving drawings • Preparing and negotiating scopes of work and contracts • Managing and communicating forecasts and schedules • Providing oversight and quality management of third-party engineering and construction contractors • Providing direction and support for an interdisciplinary team to successfully complete moderate, generally <10MM capital projects

Communicate with internal and external customers to determine their requirements and meet their needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Provide technical expertise to solve problems and to support operations and construction personnel through calculations, research, and hands-on training.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• 2-10 years of experience related to Engineering • Ability to interpret and comply with applicable natural gas industry codes, standards, and regulations, including DOT Pipeline Code, 49 CFR 191, 192, 193, ASME B31.3, B31.8, and FERC Regulations found in 18 CRF 1 • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications • Good oral and written communication, administrative, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and assignments • Ability to work under minimal supervision • Ability to travel as required to support projects and attend meetings up to 50 • Valid drivers license and clean driving record

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of experience related to engineering design and construction of interstate natural gas and liquid pipelines and facilities • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the project management of interstate natural gas pipelines and liquid and facilities • Knowledge of applicable natural gas industry codes, standards, and regulations, including DOT Pipeline Code, 49 CFR Part 195 for transportation of hazardous liquids • Strong oral and written communication, administrative, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills • Proficient in contract development, conformance, and interpretation

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
