With growing operations across the United States, we are committed to innovation, quality, and powering the future of clean energy.Summary The Development Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of Energy Storage System (ESS) battery pack and link products. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure products meet performance, safety, quality, and customer requirements. Depending on level, the Development Engineer may support development activities under guidance, lead technical projects independently, or provide strategic technical leadership for complex ESS product initiatives.Responsibilities Support the design, development, validation, and launch of ESS (Energy Storage System) Pack and Link productsDevelop and maintain engineering specifications, test plans, technical documentation, and design standardsLead or support new product introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production launchCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams to ensure successful product development and implementationConduct engineering analysis, performance evaluations, and root cause investigations to identify and resolve technical issuesSupport prototype builds, product testing, and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance, quality, and safety requirementsAnalyze test data and provide recommendations for product improvements, design modifications, and corrective actionsSupport component selection, qualification, and validation activities for ESS Pack and Link systemsParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change management processesEvaluate product performance, reliability, and manufacturability to support continuous improvement initiativesCoordinate technical activities and communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to management and stakeholdersCollaborate with global engineering teams to support product development, technology transfer, and standardization effortsSupport cost reduction, quality improvement, and process optimization initiativesMaintain technical records, engineering documentation, and project files in accordance with company requirementsEnsure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and customer requirementsMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional team members (Engineer II and Senior levels)Lead complex development projects and technical initiatives with minimal supervision (Senior level)Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain;
