Engineer-Equipment III


Location: Bloomington, MN
Work Setup: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday/Wednesday)

Join a leading telecommunications organization dedicated to building and maintaining one of the nation's most reliable wireless networks. As an Engineer-Equipment III, you will play a critical role in supporting macro cell site modification projects by ensuring the right equipment is procured, delivered, and integrated to meet network deployment milestones.

Engineer-Equipment III Responsibilities

  • Determine equipment requirements for new and existing macro cell site projects based on engineering designs and project specifications.

  • Coordinate equipment procurement and integration activities to deliver complete material packages on schedule.

  • Manage supplier relationships to support project timelines, network milestones, and site turn-up dates.

  • Collaborate with RF Design, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, and System Performance teams.

  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates on equipment availability and project progress.

  • Initiate material requests and coordinate shipments from centralized warehouses.

  • Track equipment inventory and expenditures while supporting cost reduction and just-in-time ordering strategies.

  • Ensure vendor payments are processed accurately using PeopleSoft Equipment Procurement.

  • Oversee equipment installation, acceptance, and project closeout activities.

  • Review engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy.

  • Utilize FUZE and related procurement tools to order and manage equipment.

Engineer-Equipment III Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, network deployment, equipment management, or related fields.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Engineer-Equipment III Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DC power systems used within telecommunications environments.

  • Understanding of cellular network architecture and wireless infrastructure.

  • Experience with Ericsson base station equipment.

  • Familiarity with CATS/FULCRUM, MapInfo, FUZE, PURCH, and PeopleSoft.

  • Experience supporting macro cell site deployments, modifications, or network infrastructure projects.
