Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Release & Deployment Management Tools
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitLab, and release scheduling platforms to manage release artifacts and traceability.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, environment promotion strategies, and rollback mechanisms.
- Environment & Infrastructure Knowledge
Working knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and/or on-prem environments, including application, middleware, database, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Change & Configuration Management
Familiarity with ITIL change management, configuration items (CIs), release controls, and audit evidence requirements.
- Application Architecture Awareness
Ability to understand application architectures, integrations, APIs, batch jobs, databases, and dependency impacts during releases.
- Monitoring & Incident Awareness
Understanding of monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch) and how release changes can impact system stability.
- Documentation & Compliance Tools
Experience creating and maintaining runbooks, implementation plans, release notes, and audit documentation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end production release process across multiple Agile development teams and supporting platform or environment teams.
- Own release planning, requirements gathering, and execution, collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, SRE, DBA, and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure successful deployments.
- Schedule, manage, and facilitate production releases, serving as the primary point of contact for status updates and executive communications throughout the release lifecycle.
- Design, manage, and maintain the release ticketing and change management process, ensuring all implementation plans, testing evidence, approvals, and required documentation are complete and accurate.
- Partner with deployment and technical team leads to obtain required approvals and present change requests to formal change governance or CAB forums for authorization. · Ensure all work items, release artifacts, and dependencies are properly tracked in project management tools to maintain full traceability and transparency.
- Enforce adherence to audit, risk, and control requirements, ensuring release processes consistently meet internal governance and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with business, readiness, and operations teams to support post-release activities, including hypercare, incident management, and issue resolution.
- Support large, cross-team or cross-program releases, contributing to process improvements, standardization, and continuous optimization of release and change management practices
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 a year
