Job Summary

  • The Engagement Assistant supports the Director of Engagement in carrying out daily programs
  • and activities that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role is hands-on and resident-
  • focused, helping to create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment through meaningful
  • interactions and activities.
  • Actively engage with residents throughout the day in a positive and meaningful way
  • Encourage participation in group activities and events
  • Provide 1:1 engagement for residents who may not attend group programs
  • Build relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences
  • Assist in carrying out daily activities, events, and scheduled programs
  • Help set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events
  • Support outings and special events as needed
  • Assist with holiday celebrations and themed activities
  • Work closely with the Director of Engagement to execute the monthly activity calendar
  • Communicate resident feedback and participation trends
  • Support other departments as needed to enhance resident experience
  • Help maintain a welcoming, energetic, and resident-centered environment
  • Promote a hospitality-focused atmosphere in all interactions
  • Ensure activity areas are organized, clean, and ready for use
  • Follow all community safety and infection control protocols
  • Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times
  • Ensure proper supervision of residents during activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Positive, friendly, and engaging personality
  • Passion for working with seniors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and team-oriented
  • Ability to lead or assist with group activities
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
