Job Summary
- The Engagement Assistant supports the Director of Engagement in carrying out daily programs
- and activities that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role is hands-on and resident-
- focused, helping to create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment through meaningful
- interactions and activities.
- Actively engage with residents throughout the day in a positive and meaningful way
- Encourage participation in group activities and events
- Provide 1:1 engagement for residents who may not attend group programs
- Build relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences
- Assist in carrying out daily activities, events, and scheduled programs
- Help set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events
- Support outings and special events as needed
- Assist with holiday celebrations and themed activities
- Work closely with the Director of Engagement to execute the monthly activity calendar
- Communicate resident feedback and participation trends
- Support other departments as needed to enhance resident experience
- Help maintain a welcoming, energetic, and resident-centered environment
- Promote a hospitality-focused atmosphere in all interactions
- Ensure activity areas are organized, clean, and ready for use
- Follow all community safety and infection control protocols
- Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times
- Ensure proper supervision of residents during activities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Positive, friendly, and engaging personality
- Passion for working with seniors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and team-oriented
- Ability to lead or assist with group activities
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
