Job Summary and Qualifications

The EMS Coordinator acts as a liaison between HCA Florida Memorial Hospital and area Emergency Medical Services EMS providers. Serve as an advocate of the hospital with local regional and state EMS agencies. Assist with hospital disaster preparedness recommendations. Develop and implement a business plan driving service line growth and improving operations in terms of quality and processes. In addition this position is responsible for ensuring collaboration across all care settings within the facility as it relates to EMS.

What you will do in this role

Attend Advisory Meetings for both local North Florida and state scheduled in Jacksonville

Attend First Coast Disaster Council as it relates to EMS support from HCA Florida Memorial Hospital

Develop quality reviews in collaboration with JFRD Fire & Rescue Quality Department

Schedule ride-along program and clinical rotation for Memorial staff and Paramedics

Assist with EMS recognition to foster a positive relationship

What qualifications you will need

High School Graduate or equivalent required Bachelors degree preferred.Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS.Minimum of 5 years of EMS experience required Hospital based EMS experience strongly preferred.
