The EMR Registered Nurse Application Analyst understands system build and functionality, ability to analyze and understand business workflows and the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet organizational goals. The primary responsibilities of an Epic Registered Nurse Application Analyst are to collaborate with end users of the system to evaluate, design, build, test, train, implement within Epic and other third-party solutions. This individual will utilize their clinical nursing knowledge to meet current nursing evidence-based practices within the system.

Responsibilities:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associates degree required. Bachelors degree preferred. Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license.
Three (3) years clinical nursing experience required. Specific experience in the operational area for Epic application preferred.
Must become and maintain Vendor certification in specified application within 6 months of attending first Vendor course.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must have a strong working knowledge of nursing evidence-based practices, departmental policies, procedures, business operations and clinical workflows with an understanding of how they interrelate to other departments in the organization.
Previous experience in area of application preferred.
Strong computing skills, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, web browsing, issue tracking and email applications and/or a willingness to learn.
Strong project management skills with ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, and maintain issues lists.
Must demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as in small or large teams.
Demonstrates the ability to resolve problems timely and effectively.
Must be detail oriented and have skills for probing information to fully understand the underlying needs drive how the system should be built.
