Required Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for an Employment Lawyer with at least 4 years PQE and strong technical knowledge of employment law. Experience should include corporate support, unfair dismissals, redundancy and restructuring, restrictive covenants, and general employment issues. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, commercially aware, and have a strong ability to work collaboratively. A passion for business development is essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • - Process instructions in line with best practice, quality systems, and risk management procedures
  • - Support marketing efforts and build strong referrer and client relationships
  • - Collaborate across departments and promote cross-referrals
  • - Attract new clients and attend relevant networking opportunities
  • - Manage financial controls with Head of Department in line with SRA accounts rules
  • - Support team colleagues and contribute during busy periods
  • - Take ownership of delegated work and seek guidance as needed
  • - Utilise support staff effectively and share knowledge within the firm
  • - Comply with SRA learning and development requirements and identify training needs
  • - Participate in both formal and informal training initiatives
  • - Promote and model the firm s core values and brand
  • - Supervise Legal Assistants and support junior staff
  • - Embrace and lead on change where appropriate

Person Specification

At least 4 years PQE in Employment Law
Experience ideally gained in private practice
Immigration knowledge desirable but not essential
Able to work independently and provide supervisory support
Strong client care and interpersonal skills
Collegiate and collaborative working style
Clear and effective communication
Adaptability and flexibility in work approach
Strong business development and networking drive
Commercially minded with financial awareness
Committed to contributing to firm s future growth
