Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Fairfax, Virginia | Hybrid Schedule Available

Our growing law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–3 years of employment law experience to join our Fairfax, Virginia office. This position offers a hybrid work environment with both remote flexibility and in-office collaboration opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in Virginia or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar and preferably reside in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings
• Draft, argue, and respond to motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct witness interviews and case investigations
• Prepare Statements of Position for EEOC matters
• Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff in a fast-paced legal environment

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of employment litigation experience
• Admitted to the Virginia Bar or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar
• Experience handling employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination claims
• Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience with EEOC proceedings strongly preferred
• Significant labor and employment law experience preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
