Job Specifications

Step into a key leadership role within the Consolidated Dispatch Agencys Administrative Services Office, where youll help keep the agencys financial and operational functions running accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance every day. Youll supervise a small team while working with a high level of independence and responsibility, making a meaningful impact on the financial integrity of an agency that supports public safety across Leon County. Performs related work and special projects as assigned.

What Youll Do

  • Provide oversight of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and benefits-related accounting activities
  • Manage the financial administration of agency grants, including budgeting, expenditure tracking, compliance monitoring, and reporting
  • Manage a portfolio of contracted suppliers and serve as the liaison between the agency and external vendors
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Assist with organizational budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support fiscal planning and decision-making
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel cost budgeting, position control, and the fiscal impacts of workforce planning
  • Assist with annual audits and coordinate responses to inquiries from auditors and oversight entities
  • Coordinate with external funders, partner agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective communication

Minimum Training & Experience

Possess a bachelors degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field relevant to the area of assignment

Four (4) years of professional administrative or management experience involving finance, accounting, purchasing, human resources, planning, communications or a closely related functional area? NOTE: Two years of the required experience MUST have included supervisory responsibility.

Eight (8) years of professional administrative or management experience involving finance, accounting, purchasing, human resources, planning, communications or a closely related functional area? NOTE: Two years of the required experience MUST have included supervisory responsibility.

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Must possess professional certification of SHRM SCP, CP, PHR, SPHR or related certification with 18 months of employment.
  • Background and Character: Must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history, employment verification, and reference checks. Must demonstrate integrity, reliability, and good moral character.
  • Must successfully complete a finger-print based criminal history records check.
  • Must complete CJIS Security Awareness training within the first week of employment.

Salary Range

$29.0888 to $78.9348/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $55.3487/hour

Drivers License Requirements

Must possess a valid Class E State drivers license at the time of appointment.
