As the Assistant General Manager, a typical day might include the following:* Managing operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness* Directly supporting theGeneral Manager, acting in the GM's absence when needed* Maintaining an accurate and up to date manpower plan of FOH staffing needs* Identifying operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunities* Exhibit high performance standards and ensure all FOH team members are providing exceptional service to patrons* Perform night check outs and audits* Investigate and resolve service/food quality concerns* Maintain safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems* Other duties to be assigned based on venues requirementsSupervisory Responsibilities:* Staffing, training and developing FOH hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis* Provide a positive, fun working environment for associatesThis job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:* Minimum of 2 years' upper level management experience in a full food and beverage, high volume upscale and/or club environment required* Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check* Valid TIPS or other recognized Alcohol Certification is required* High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred* Exemplary customer service skills* Strong problem solving and analytical skills* Ability to work well with people internally and externally at all levels* Solid planning, organizing and scheduling abilities* Strong team building skills with emphasis on development and ability to think outside the box* Ability to create enthusiasm, demonstrate innovation and encourage growth and learning in others* Work hours necessary to maintain facilityPhysical Demands / Work Environment / HoursThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
